The Cartio Master Plan
Ayesha Nisar, founder of Cartio. Written August 2026.
Chapter I · 2018
I did not arrive at ecommerce through a pitch deck. I arrived through other people's dashboards. Since 2018 I have run an ecommerce agency, and over those years we have built, fixed, migrated, and grown hundreds of stores: fashion brands, electronics sellers, beauty lines, one-product wonders, and catalogs with fifty thousand SKUs.
When you work inside that many businesses, you stop seeing stores and start seeing patterns. Every merchant believed their problem was traffic. Almost none of them had a traffic problem. They had a keeping problem. The visitors came, the ad bills were paid, and then the revenue slipped away through the same holes, store after store, year after year.
I started keeping a private list of those holes. It became the most valuable document my agency owned, because it was the map of where the money goes. Cartio is that list, turned into software.
The ledger
Each of these moments happens in nearly every store, nearly every day. None of them shows up as an error. That is what makes them expensive.
A shopper loads a cart, reaches checkout, and closes the tab. Seven out of ten carts end this way.
A card declines on a real order from a real customer who wanted to pay. Nobody follows up, so the order quietly dies.
A shopper asks a question nobody answers. By morning they have bought from someone who did.
A customer who bought once never hears from the store again. Winning them back costs a fifth of winning a stranger.
An order ships at exactly the size it was placed. The moment right after purchase, when trust peaks, sells nothing.
A customer knows exactly why they almost did not buy. The store never asks, so it keeps making the same mistake.
Kept since 2018. Compiled across hundreds of merchant accounts.
Chapter II · The first leak
Cartio did not launch as a platform. It launched as an answer to the first line of the ledger: the abandoned checkout. Seven out of ten carts walk away, and for most stores that is the single largest number on the map.
The insight was old and unfashionable: people respond to being spoken to. An email sits unread. A phone call, a WhatsApp message, a text that arrives minutes after the cart is abandoned, sounding like a person and answering like one, brings shoppers back. So we built AI that holds that conversation across voice, WhatsApp, and SMS, and we priced it the only way a former agency operator could look a merchant in the eye and offer: recover nothing, pay nothing.
Merchants took that bet, because it was not their risk. Stores began recovering 20-35% of their abandoned carts. And then they started asking the question that changed the company: what about the rest of the list?
We priced it the only way I could look a merchant in the eye and offer: recover nothing, pay nothing.
Chapter III · The complete platform
One leak at a time, in the order the money demanded, we built the rest. Today every line on the 2018 list has an answer, and they all run on the same AI, the same store connection, and the same dashboard.
Broadcast campaigns tie the whole system together, so a store can speak to its customers on purpose, not only in emergencies.
What we refuse to do
Every call and text goes through your own telephony account, billed to you at the carrier's own published rates. We add nothing on top. I spent years watching tools quietly resell messaging at three times cost; Cartio will never be one of them.
Cart and failed-payment recovery can run purely on performance: a share of what we actually recover, and nothing otherwise. The full suite is a flat monthly plan from $79, with the price on the page and no commission.
A recovery platform that slows a storefront down is a leak of its own. We build to Shopify's highest quality bar, and the merchant's site speed is treated as our responsibility too.

Chapter IV · The road ahead
The ledger is closed, but it is not finished. Every conversation our AI holds teaches it more about why shoppers hesitate, what wins them back, and when to simply stay quiet. The plan from here is depth, not breadth: recovery that starts before the cart is even abandoned, support that knows a customer's history the way a shopkeeper once did, and insight that tells a merchant where their next leak will open before it costs them anything.
The destination has not changed since 2018: a store where nothing worth keeping slips away, run by a merchant who sleeps at night.
Connect your store and let the platform built from eight years of ledgers go to work.
